# What would good look like?

11 October 2026Weekly noteAI + JJ

This week I put words around a way I often work: describe a worthwhile outcome early enough that the description can change what I choose to do.

I recognise it in Amazon's [working backwards](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/workplace/an-insider-look-at-amazons-culture-and-processes): write the prospective press release and ask the difficult questions. Explain what would have become better, for whom and why, in language someone outside the project can understand.

That makes it easier to see whether an idea is worth pursuing, needs changing or should be left alone. The story has to hold. And it remains a possible future, something to test against what actually happens. A beautifully written account of success is still only preparation until people experience the improvement.

## Open enough to be useful

I've been pushing this site further towards something you can use in your own way. Read it here, subscribe through RSS, download the writing or let your AI search and read it through the public MCP. The [open-access page](https://jardenberg.com/open) brings those routes together.

My own writing here is now available under CC BY 4.0, with credit. Other people's photographs, quotations and material keep their own rights. I want the words to travel, with their sources and AI attribution attached.

There is still friction. The hosting service blocks the default Python urllib client, so I can't honestly say that every automated reader gets through. That limitation is documented alongside the working routes. Making something open includes checking whether people and their tools can actually reach it.

## Two speeds, and a longer memory

[Notes](https://jardenberg.com/notes) now contains 66 selected posts, reaching back to January. Swedish originals sit alongside clearly marked AI translations into English, with source links and images where appropriate. The old posts keep their dates. Importing a January thought in October doesn't make it an October thought.

I like having both rhythms: these weekly reflections, with a little more time to connect things, and the shorter discoveries and ideas closer to the moment. They give you different ways into what I'm working on.

The much older [blog library](https://jardenberg.se/) stays where it is. I want that history to become easier to find and use without moving it or losing the people, dates and conversations around it. There is still work to do: that library isn't yet included in this site's MCP search. Keeping the original links alive is a start.
